Alocasias thrive in bright but indirect light. East or west-facing windows are ideal. Avoid direct sunlight as it can burn the leaves. Variegated alocasias prefer very bright but filtered light. You can also use grow lights to provide additional light all year round. Remember that too little light can cause the variegated alocasia leaves lose their vibrant colour.
